Sauced In Austin: Day 4. Comments Off

Saturday finally rolls around and I’m psyched. My passport arrives as expected, and Jim and I head downtown to make the best of our last day in Austin. I’m thrilled to be with legal ID again and promise myself that today will be the BEST day of the trip. I have no idea that I will be 100% correct about that. Read more »

Sauced in Austin: Day 3 1

I wake up Friday swollen-eyed because of all the crying I did before I went to bed. Now I just feel like a horse’s ass for crying like that but dammit, I had drinks and I was upset.

We shower and get dressed and head downtown and I’m determined to try my best to be as positive as possible about everything and make the best of the situation. Sauced In Austin: Day 2 Bands… and Drama. 1

Day 2 in Austin starts off well, with a hot “kontinental breffiss” from our hotel. Although Nick had crashed with us the first night, he stayed with Jon and Steve downtown for the rest of the trip. Sauced In Austin: Day 1 Bands Comments Off

Jon Pinto was all fired up about heading to Emo’s, so after we “left” the Creekside (ha!), that’s where we ended up. These New Puritans were playing and the best way I can describe them is “Joy Division-esque.” I really dug them, although I wondered how their guitarist wasn’t sweating bullets under his chain-mail shirt. They really rocked, and I found that the crowd was surprisingly friendly.

Sauced In Austin: My adventures at SXSW. Comments Off

Sauced In Austin

This pretty much sums up my life between March 12-16, 2008.

Okay, okay. So this blog update is way overdue. I know. I’ve been far too busy for my own good. I finally have completed sorting and editing through the 1,400 images I shot in Austin. Can you say “shutter diarrhea?”

I’ve put ALLLLLLLLLLLL of the final images from SXSW online at my gallery site. The photos posted here are only a mere taste of the total product. For all the galleries, check out my site here: SXSW 2008 Galleries!

Anyway, let’s get to it.
